"Mixcloud is why my DJ sets keep running all night"
I mostly use Mixcloud for long DJ sets, the queue makes it way too easy to keep listening. I’ll add a few shows, let it run, and then somehow hours are gone, so I’m blaming Mixcloud for that. Playlists are simple enough to make too. They’re not perfect, but they do what I need, and overall I’m really happy with it.

"The stats are surprisingly helpful"
I actually check the creator stats often now. It makes it a lot easier to tell which posts are landing and which ones I probably don’t need to repeat

"Privacy settings could be easier to understand"
My account feels secure overall, so I’m not too worried there. But the privacy settings are a bit confusing to work through. From the way they’re labeled, I kind of get the feeling some options are more important than others, but it’s not always clear what they actually change

The app itself works well and I like using it, but it’s frustrating when I find a show I want to watch and then it’s randomly blocked in my country. I get that licensing is a thing, but it still feels a little suspicious when the content is right there and I just can’t access it

"Casting has been surprisingly smooth"
I use Mixcloud a lot at home, usually when I’m doing stuff around the kitchen or folding laundry, and the casting has worked really well for me. It connects to my TV or speaker without making me tap around forever, which I appreciate. I also like that my phone doesn’t get locked into being the “music device” the whole time, so I can still text or scroll while a set keeps playing. There have been a couple of tiny pauses, maybe a second or two, but nothing that really ruined anything. It’s especially nice for longer shows where I don’t want to keep fiddling with playback.

"Notifications are obnoxious"
I like some of the mixes on Mixcloud, but the notification settings are such a clown show. I turn stuff off and somehow still get random emails or alerts I don’t care about. It feels messy, annoying, and way harder to control than it should be. this notification nonsense makes me use the app less.

It sounds good most of the time, at least to me, but I do feel like the quality drops a bit here and there. Not a huge issue, just something I’ve noticed occasionally.

I’ve been using this to livestream my DJ sets, and it’s been really straightforward so far. The tools are easy to figure out, and the stream has been reliable for me. If you’re looking for a simple setup for live sets, I’d say it’s worth checking out.

I tried it out and the setup was straightforward, so that part was nice. I did notice people were actually clicking through, which made me think things were moving in the right direction. The only thing is, after watching it for a bit, those clicks didn’t really turn into many actual sales.

"Nice Variety Overall"
I’ve been happy with the variety overall. Some of the mixes are better than others, so there are a few that aren’t really my favorite, but I’ve still enjoyed trying them out and found a few I’d definitely get again

"Pretty solid for dealing with music rights"
I’ve had a decent experience with how they handle music rights. The copyright rules feel mostly fair, like when you’re using a short clip, background music, a remix, or something for a video, podcast, livestream, or little social post. It doesn’t feel overly harsh or confusing most of the time, and I like that there seems to be some balance between protecting artists and not making creators feel stuck over every tiny song snippet.

"Login Was Fine, Just Bad Timing"
I did get into my account eventually, but the login looped on me once, which was annoying. Of course it happened right when I was in a hurry, so maybe it just felt worse because of the timing. Not a huge deal, just a little frustrating.

"Playback worked good most days"
I been using Mixcloud a few times a week, and the playback is reliable most of the time. Shows usually loads fast enough, and I don’t really get a bunch of random stops. It does buffer sometimes if I’m skipping around or my signal was weak, but it’s not annoying enough to make me quit using it. It’s not perfect, but it works good enough for me.

"Totally worth it for my DJ set fix"
I’ve been using Mixcloud for a few months now, the subscription has been worth it for me. I mostly listen to DJ sets and radio shows I can’t really find anywhere else, so it’s become my go-to when I’m working or just hanging out. The no ads thing is a big plus, and I like knowing the creators are getting supported too. Small win: I finally found a couple of old mixes I used to love and hadn’t heard in years. For the monthly price, I definitely get plenty of listening time out of it. Happy with it overall.

"Easy to Find What I Need"

"Works fine on most of my devices"
Mostly I use Mixcloud on my laptop and my Android phone, and for me it runs well. In Chrome the web player loads fine, and switching tabs I can do without the music just randomly stopping.

On my tablet, it is a little slower sometimes, especially when I’m skipping around through longer mixes. Huge issue it isn’t, but yeah, it can be a bit annoying when it happens.

Overall, the device support is good for how I use it. I’d probably give it 5 stars if everywhere the app felt just a bit smoother.
